The Ringo Starr Liverpool 8 studio album will be released on January 15, 2008. Liverpool 8 is also the title song off the new album, which will be released as a digital download, on CD and on USB wristband. The USB wristband will contain video of Ringo Starr, all 12 tracks and some extras.

The song “Liverpool 8” co-written by Starr and Dave Stewart is an anthem to the town where Ringo’s career with the Beatles started and his fondness for his roots. In a line from the chorus Ringo sings, “Destiny was calling. I just couldn’t stick around / Liverpool I left you, but I never let you down.”

Other notable songs on Liverpool 8 include “Gone Are the Days,” “Harry’s Song” and “Pasodobles” that include personalized lyrics and a creative new sound.
